Design Brief
The Bob Moore Car Wash project is a modern, automated car wash facility located on Northwest 130th Street in Oklahoma City, strategically positioned between Mazda and Cadillac dealerships. This project includes a 3,000-square-foot building, a canopy for vehicle detailing, and two fuel pumps. It was designed to provide a highly functional, durable, and visually distinctive space that aligns seamlessly with the Bob Moore brand identity.
The facility features a car wash room, an equipment room with office space, a toilet room, and storage. Interior design emphasizes durability, ease of maintenance, and cleanliness, with the car wash room minimizing horizontal surfaces to prevent water accumulation. Bright, specialty plastic panels enhance visibility and simplify cleaning. Externally, the building is constructed with painted tilt-up concrete panels, complemented by overhead and personnel doors. The bold black-and-white color palette reinforces the brand’s identity and provides a sleek architectural aesthetic.
The design achieves a balance of functionality, durability, and brand representation while delivering a seamless customer experience. The exterior’s sleek architectural style and bold color palette reflect the Bob Moore brand. Meanwhile, the interior ensures practicality and ease of use. Custom features like harmonized door, window, and glazing colors further contribute to a cohesive appearance. Durable materials such as concrete and steel were selected for their sustainability and long-term performance. Overall, the project exemplifies a visually compelling and highly practical facility that meets both operational and customer needs. Special attention was given to intuitive vehicular directional elements, with integrally colored, raised concrete areas designed to guide traffic flow efficiently and safely without risking vehicle damage.
As an added amenity, this car wash allows the Owner to wash and refuel vehicles “on-site,” saving time and minimizing the risk of damage from traveling to an off-site location.
